bio-bean® is the first company in the world to industrialise the process of recycling waste coffee grounds into advanced biofuels and biochemicals. bio-bean works within the existing energy and waste infrastructure, developing sustainable products and solutions to displace conventional fuels and chemicals. The company was founded in 2013, by Arthur Kay whilst he was still an architecture student at University College London (UCL).

2015 saw the launch of their range of educational apps featuring Dubdub, the little yellow dinosaur who loves to learn about words! Rhyming Bus, Minimal Pairs and Odd One Out are all apps aimed at helping little ones develop their speech and listening skills.

Rachel is CIO of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. She also sits on a number of international, national and local advisory boards and bodies including the NHS Open Source Board, KLAS Research advisory board and ITIL qualification panel.
