Tech City UK has joined forces with Talent International to promote UK tech start-ups through this year’s Talent Unleashed Awards.
Now in its fifth year, Talent Unleashed is a global awards programme that recognises outstanding technology start-ups and disruptive technology leaders. As part of the partnership, Tech City UK, CEO, Gerard Grech will join a stellar judging line-up forming the Talent Unleashed panel, including Apple, Co-founder Steve Wozniak and Sir Richard Branson.
In his role with Tech City UK, Gerard is focused on accelerating the growth of digital businesses in London and across cities in the UK. He is also a member of the UK Government’s Digital Economy Council and Greater London Authority’s Smart London Board, both focused on economic growth through digital innovation.
This year’s Talent Unleashed awards offer five categories: Best Start-Up – Social Impact; Best Start-Up – Tech innovation; Best Digital SME – Tech Innovation; Most Disruptive CIO/CTO and Best Tech IPO/Venture Capital Raising. The UK awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 21st July at the home of BAFTA in Central London.
The UK and European finalists, along with the regional finalists from Asia, Australia and New Zealand will then compete in the grand finals held in Sydney on 18th August. The overall global winners will get to spend some one-on-one time with Steve Wozniak and win a trip to the tech capital of the world in Silicon Valley.
