New to the Talent Unleashed Awards Judging Panel in 2016, Jade Zhang is the founder of Okmono Asia the company that holds the rights to the Candy Crush branded confectionery.
An accomplished entrepreneur based out of Hong Kong and Melbourne, Jade has successfully launched the Candy Crush confectionary range in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea and prior to this Jade spearheaded the greenfield expansion of ASOS.COM (a global online fashion retailer) into the Chinese market.
Zhang recently spoke with Startup Daily and said she is excited to be part of the judging panel and to learn about each nominee’s business, saying being part of the judging process has really opened her eyes to the diversity of companies doing exciting things with technology.
“Being an entrepreneur myself, I think this award is quite unique because it covers a really wide spectrum of start-up companies, both geographically and also among the different industries and sectors. Some of the entrants in this year’s awards have been disrupting their local market for quite some time and making a significant impact on society,” she said.

With the judging process in full swing, Zhang said she has been thoroughly impressed with the calibre of nominees, making the decision making process incredibly competitive.
