Judging Criteria – Leadership
This page outlines the judging criteria for the ‘Most Disruptive Technology or Digital Leader‘ and the ‘Most Progressive Workplace Leader‘ categories.
We are seeking individuals who are leading the way in implementing and transforming new strategies, ideas and innovations in the workplace. We are looking for those who demonstrate integrity, strategic thinking, creativity and, above all, have had a huge influence on driving transformation in their business environment.
We want your application to be succinct and well written, as well as to address some core criteria.

20% Tell us about you
These awards are about recognising and rewarding individuals driving and inspiring change, so of course we want to find out more about who you are, what you do and what motivates you.
Tell us about your experience, achievements, commitment, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit.
We expect our entrants to spend 20% of the open-ended response here (300 words). You should:
- Outline how your achievements are significant.
- Demonstrate your personal and/or professional values.
- Show us how you are an innovator in your workplace.
20% Thinking
Entrants will need to clearly explain how they have identified issues and challenges that needed addressing in their organisation. In particular, we would like to see the use of innovative strategies, a disruptive approach or the use of technology or digital tools in a strategic way to develop or challenge the status quo.
If you are a Technology or Digital Leader what was the catalyst for change in your firm’s technology strategy or digital environment? How have you bravely initiated and driven technological change?
If you are a Progressive Workplace Leader, how did you empower your organisation and positively impact the employee community by solving a workplace problem? How did you identify issues and challenges that needed addressing around respect, dignity and equality in the workplace?
We expect our entrants to spend 20% of the open-ended response here (300 words). You should:
- Outline your strategy.
- Define the objectives you set out to achieve.
- Detail the risks you identified and how you overcame them.
- Demonstrate how you implemented the change and what you used to help you achieve this – e.g. how you used a technology as more than just a support system to transform the business environment.
20% Innovation
We are looking for individuals who have developed innovative ideas to drive their technology strategy and disrupt the digital environment, OR who have been a driver of staff engagement strategies to inspire others to build more inclusive cultures creating tomorrow’s future workplace. Entrants will have demonstrated how they have applied technology, digital tools and/or strategic thinking in an innovative way.
We expect our entrants to spend 20% of the open-ended response here (300 words). You should:
- Showcase the originality of your idea/strategy.
- Demonstrate your creativity.
- Outline how you combined strategic insights and creativity to be innovative.
- Outline your approach to the new or existing need you set out to meet.
20% Results
We are outcome driven so we will be taking into account factors such as such as increased productivity, captured market share, increased brand awareness and revenue generation OR for Progressive Leaders, work place happiness, increased employee acquisition or retention, enhancement in workplace culture.
We expect our entrants to spend 20% of the open-ended response here (300 words). You should:
- Demonstrate how you met a specific social or business challenge/need/opportunity (specific examples).
- Provide before and after situation analysis.
- Share specific results and outcomes.
20% Future Planning
What’s next in store for you? What’s your next step? We want to know what your future plans are. So we will be taking into account factors such as scalability, upcoming trials, planning, strategy and forecasting.

- Tell us about your growth trajectory/strategy (specific examples – you will be able to upload documents).
- What do you plan to achieve in the next 1-3 years.
- Share specific forecasting results or strategic plans.
